Piotr Popowski

Co-organizer of Centrum id Integrated Care and eHealth, Medical University of Gdańsk
A graduate of the Medical University of Gdansk and the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdansk. MD., PhD, for many years associated with the Department of Public Health and Social Medicine, Medical University of Gdansk, where he deals with the problems of health systems, integrated care and e-health. Director of several cooperation projects between University, University Clinical Center, Polish Society for Health Programs, local authorities and business in the preparation and coordination of care piloting solutions and telemedicine.
Co-founder, in 2005, the Polish Society for Health Programs – currently its chairman. He is responsible for Society acitities concerning integrated care, in particular cooperation within the social welfare and health care in creating coordinated solution. He has experience in the organization and management of population-based health programs; for many years he led the coordination center of population prevention programs.
In 2014, he led the project Medical University of Gdańsk, determining the possibility of the Centre for Research – Implementation Program of Integrated Care and Telemedicine – currently directs the work of the Centre for Integrated Care and e-Health. Cooperate with international organizations concerned with public health and care integrated. In 2015, he initiated the creation of Pomerania Partnership for integrated healthcare, which is focused on Pomerania entities involved in the development of such forms of care.
