Most societies are witnessing a strong increase in healthcare demand, with a need for more, longer and more complex treatments, amidst scarce resources. Value-based healthcare can help address the challenge to continuously improve the quality of healthcare, while at the same time containing costs.
During the session, based on good practices of the Dutch institute for Clinical Auditing (DICA), we will discuss the need and possibilities to introduce effective instruments for monitoring the quality of care and managing the health system based on healthcare outcomes.
