Digital health as one of the EU’s priorities “New opportunities for Europe – new opportunities for Poland”

The COVID-19 pandemic has made cooperation in health domain one of the key elements of European integration. This cooperation naturally also includes actions for the implementation and standardization of e-health.

The implementation of cross-border information systems including e-prescriptions or patient medical data is one of the main elements of this integration. However, this requires not only interoperability standards, but also the application of equal, high standards of patient data protection. They must be accepted and implemented by all market participants – from governments and state institutions, healthcare providers and insurers, to representatives of the pharmaceutical and IT industries.

The participants of the session will discuss the European e-health strategy and Poland’s participation in these plans. Panellists will consider in which European programmes Poland should take a particularly active part and in what way it should be done. Representatives of Comarch and Polpharma will also present a market perspective for strategic changes in the health care system.
