Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim
Deputy Mayor of Sopot
Her policy areas include education, social welfare and health, promotion, tourism and communications. She is a graduate of the University of Gdańsk’s Faculty of History. She completed post-graduate studies at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw and at the Regional Development Agency in Poznań’s Human Resources Management School. She received a French government scholarship in Montpellier and at the University of Toulouse le Mirail. At Sopot City Hall since 2006, she had earlier been a journalist at the Dziennik Bałtycki daily for several years.
Magdalena Czarzyńska-Jachim is a winner of the Koźmiński Lion Statuette, given to the graduates of the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw who have achieved spectacular professional success. She is the originator and organiser of the Sopot Women’s Meetings, a cyclical series of meetings dealing with important social matters from the female point of view.
