Ofir Marer
Head of Policy and Regulation in the Digital Health Division, Israeli Ministry of Health
Ofir Marer is the Head of Policy and Regulation in the Digital Health Division of the Israeli Ministry of Health. As such, Ofir is responsible for establishing various national regulations for digital health and IT issues, including cloud usage, standards for interoperability and de-Identification, while developing incentives for data-driven innovation and state-of-the-art health research.
Ofir and his team are cultivating cross-sector collaborations, designing solutions and enabling technological integration that will enhance digital transformation, all while taking advantage of the emerging MedTech industry locally and internationally.
Ofir has served in Israel’s civil service for over a decade, both in the Israeli Defense Forces (Maj. res,) and in the Ministry of Health, and he holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Middle Eastern Studies, an M.A. in Political Communications and an M.P.A. in Public Administrations.
